Karachi, December 24, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Wednesday released its daily shipping activity report, highlighting busy maritime operations at the country’s second-largest seaport during the past 24 hours. The report was updated at 8:00 am to provide timely information to shipping lines, importers, exporters, and other stakeholders.
According to the PQA, several vessels sailed from Port Qasim carrying a wide range of export and import cargoes. Among the departing ships, M.V. ASL IXORA sailed with a consignment of 42,000 tonnes of cement, while M.T. GFS GISELLE departed with containerized cargo. Another bulk carrier, M.V. MANDARIN PHOENIX, sailed after loading over 55,600 tonnes of coal, reflecting continued demand for energy-related imports. Meanwhile, oil tanker M.T. MUTRIBA also left the port carrying more than 42,000 tonnes of high-speed diesel oil.
The berthing activity remained equally active, with multiple vessels arriving at different terminals. Container vessels including M.V. HANSA AFRICA, M.V. HUA CHUANG 66, and M.V. CYPRESS berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal (QICT) and QT2, indicating steady container traffic. Bulk carriers such as M.V. COSCO KUNLUNSHAN and M.V. KOUROS LEADER arrived with iron ore and coal consignments, respectively, while chemical tanker M.T. EVA TOKYO docked with a shipment of phosphoric acid. In addition, M.T. MONJASA MASTER berthed at FOTCO terminal with a condenser cargo.
The PQA also reported vessel shifting operations during the period. M.T. MARINE ISTA shifted within the terminal area for bunker supply operations, while M.V. LAPIS LAZULI, carrying rice for export, was repositioned to facilitate smooth cargo handling.
Port officials said that the smooth movement of vessels and diverse cargo reflected efficient port management and steady trade activity, underscoring Port Qasim’s vital role in supporting Pakistan’s maritime trade and supply chain operations.
