In the last 24 hours, six vessels arrived at various terminals across Port Qasim. These ships include GFS Ruby, Wan Hai-316, Tolten, Bentley-I, Hafnia Excellence, and Al-Diab-II. The vessels were carrying cargo such as containers, palm oil, Mogas, and LPG. They berthed at the Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal, and Sui Southern Gas Terminal, respectively.

Additionally, two more ships, Solar Catie and Al-Jini, arrived at the outer anchorage during the same period, bringing cargoes of palm oil and coal.

At present, twelve ships are engaged at the PQA berths. Among them, three ships—GFS Ruby, Wan Hai-316, and Mars-J—departed the port early this morning. Meanwhile, three ships, Tolten, Al-Diab-II, and Porto Kioni, are expected to set sail this afternoon. This dynamic movement of ships ensures efficient cargo handling and flow of goods at the port.

In terms of cargo handling, Port Qasim managed a total volume of 105,796 tonnes during the last 24 hours. This included 82,762 tonnes of import cargo and 23,034 tonnes of export cargo, which was carried in 3,167 containers (2,323 TEUs imports and 844 TEUs exports). These figures highlight the active role Port Qasim plays in facilitating trade between Pakistan and the rest of the world.

The outer anchorage of Port Qasim currently has eleven ships awaiting their turn to berth. Among them, ships such as Draft-Slayer, Kouras Queen, Al-Jini, and SSL Godavari are scheduled to load or offload cargoes of rice, coal, and containers. These vessels are expected to dock at FAP, PIBT, PQEPT, and QICT, respectively, today. Furthermore, an LNG carrier, Milaha Qatar, is expected to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday, adding to the port’s diverse range of operations.

With its strategic location and efficient handling of both import and export cargo, Port Qasim continues to be a vital hub for maritime trade in Pakistan.
