Port Qasim Reports Robust Shipping Operations for July 15

Port Qasim Activity

Karachi, July 15, 2025 – Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its detailed shipping operations report for Tuesday, highlighting a steady flow of maritime activity at one of Pakistan’s busiest trade hubs.

The report, issued at 0800 hours, provides a comprehensive snapshot of berthing and sailing movements over the past 24 hours, aimed at assisting stakeholders across the logistics and maritime sectors.

The report reflects the port’s dynamic shipping operations, with multiple vessels handling a wide variety of cargoes including mogas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), iron ore, coal, and containers. These operations continue to demonstrate the port’s vital role in sustaining the country’s trade and energy needs.

Among the key highlights, the vessel M.T. SERENO, carrying 29,909 metric tons of mogas, successfully departed from the FOTCO terminal, managed by Al-Pine Marine. Similarly, M.T. GAS EMERALD and M.T. HORIZON 1—both LPG carriers—completed their cargo operations and sailed out under the supervision of their respective agents. Notably, M.V. ND ARISTEIA, loaded with over 58,000 metric tons of coal, departed from PIBT, reflecting the port’s high-volume bulk cargo handling capabilities.

On the berthing side, the shipping operations continued at full throttle. The LNG carrier M.T. FUWAIRIT, with a massive 135,656 metric tons onboard, was berthed at the PGPCL terminal by GSA (Pvt.) Ltd. Meanwhile, M.V. JIN WANG LING was berthed at M/W-I to unload 23,000 metric tons of iron ore, reinforcing the port’s significance in supporting the country’s steel and industrial sectors.

The LPG tanker M.T. ULLSWATER and mogas carrier M.T. FLORA MARIS also arrived and commenced discharge at their respective berths, underlining the port’s critical role in the energy import chain. These vessels were handled efficiently by Universal Shipping and Al-Pine Marine respectively.

Port Qasim’s latest report highlights not just volume but operational efficiency, as shipping traffic was handled smoothly without reported delays or congestion. This seamless flow in shipping operations underscores the port’s modern infrastructure and coordinated logistics management.

With consistent improvements in shipping operations, Port Qasim continues to be a cornerstone of Pakistan’s import-export economy, ensuring uninterrupted maritime trade and energy supplies through robust port activity.
