Karachi, May 28, 2025 – In a dynamic display of maritime efficiency, Port Qasim has reported a full schedule of active shipping operations for Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
The Port Qasim Authority (PQA), which oversees one of Pakistan’s most vital trade gateways, confirmed a steady flow of inbound and outbound marine traffic, ensuring that port activities remained uninterrupted over the last 24 hours.
According to the latest operational update released at 0800 hours, Port Qasim facilitated the berthing, sailing, and shifting of multiple cargo vessels carrying essential commodities ranging from liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline, and containers. This highlights the strategic importance of Port Qasim as a hub for energy and containerized cargo, directly supporting Pakistan’s industrial and commercial sectors.
During the reporting period, notable vessel movements included the sailing of LNG carrier M.T-AL DAAYEN, which discharged over 141,000 metric tons of LNG, and the departure of M.T-NAVE CIELO carrying a significant load of MOGAS. Meanwhile, two major container ships—M.V-VALENCE and M.V-MSC ULSAN III—also completed their operations, showcasing the port’s growing role in regional trade logistics.
Simultaneously, Port Qasim witnessed the berthing of multiple ships, including M.T-NEPTA, which delivered over 3,800 metric tons of LPG, and M.T-HANYU FREESIA, carrying paraxylene for industrial use. These arrivals are crucial for maintaining fuel supply chains and chemical stockpiles across Pakistan.
The shipping operations also included internal logistical adjustments, such as the shifting of the LNG vessel M.T-EXQUISITE from the anchorage area to streamline berth availability. These internal movements are a testament to the port’s ability to efficiently manage high traffic volumes without compromising turnaround times.
With such coordinated activity, Port Qasim continues to reinforce its reputation as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s maritime trade infrastructure. The seamless execution of these shipping operations ensures that stakeholders, including importers, exporters, and logistics providers, receive uninterrupted services.
As Port Qasim remains operational around the clock, its contribution to national economic resilience through uninterrupted port operations and strategic shipping coordination becomes ever more critical, especially in an increasingly interconnected global trade environment.
