Karachi, July 31, 2025 – Port Qasim experienced a bustling day of shipping operations on Thursday, July 31, 2025, reflecting strong import and export movement through the strategically vital port. The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) issued its daily report at 08:00 AM, highlighting the steady flow of maritime traffic over the past 24 hours.

The port witnessed the smooth sailing of multiple vessels loaded with vital commodities. Among these, the tanker M.T-POLYAIGOS departed with 26,000 metric tons of high sulfur fuel oil, while M.T-MARITIME KELLY ANNE carried 29,999 metric tons of palm oil. Other vessels such as M.V-EQUITY and M.V-DESERT DIGNITY departed after discharging steel coils and coal, respectively. The dry cargo vessel M.V-AKRA also departed after unloading 36,045 metric tons of lentil peas.

In terms of berthing activity, several shipping vessels were accommodated at the port, including M.T-ULLSWATER and M.T-YASHAR, both carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Bulk carriers like M.V-EVANTHIA and M.V-FORTUNE TIGER berthed to offload thousands of metric tons of imported coal. Notably, the tanker M.T-BLUE BIRD arrived with a substantial shipment of MOGAS, and M.T-BANGLAR AGRAJATRA berthed with palm oil.

This robust shipping movement underlines Port Qasim’s critical role in sustaining Pakistan’s trade infrastructure. As one of the country’s busiest seaports, it continues to efficiently handle a wide range of cargoes, supporting the economy through timely maritime logistics.
