Karachi, April 15, 2025 – Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its latest update on shipping operations, providing stakeholders with detailed information on vessel activity during the last 24 hours.
The daily operational report was issued at 0800 hours, covering the berthing and sailing schedules of multiple vessels engaged in vital import and export services.
According to the report, the port remains busy with steady operations, handling a diverse range of cargo including coal, LNG, LPG, and containers. Two vessels departed the port within the past day. M.V. Norse Sequel, carrying 59,000 metric tons of coal, sailed from the Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PIBT), while M.V. Eleni T, a container vessel, departed from QICT-VII under the management of GAC Shipping.
Simultaneously, Port Qasim witnessed the berthing of several key vessels, demonstrating the seamless continuation of its shipping operations. The LNG carrier M.T. Lebrethah, with a massive load of 140,217 metric tons of liquefied natural gas, berthed at EETL, handled by GSA Pvt Ltd. Container ships M.V. SM Kaveri and M.V. MSC Yamuna VI were berthed at QICT and QT2-II respectively, highlighting the ongoing operations in the container segment. Another container vessel, M.V. MSC Positano, also berthed at QT2-I later in the day.
In addition to containerized and energy cargo, M.T. Sinar Toraja, carrying 3,757 metric tons of LPG, was successfully berthed at EVTL, with Universal Shipping overseeing the operation.
