KARACHI, August 8, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) reported a surge in shipping operations over the past 24 hours, marking another day of high maritime activity. According to the latest update issued at 0800 hours, Friday witnessed steady vessel movements, reflecting the port’s critical role in facilitating Pakistan’s trade and supply chain.

The daily shipping report highlighted multiple sailings and berthings. Departures included M.V. DSI Phoenix carrying 42,496 tonnes of coal, M.T. CNC Dream with 3,135 tonnes of acetic acid, M.T. PVT Solana transporting 30,999 tonnes of palm oil, and M.T. Blue Bird with 56,917 tonnes of mogas.

On the arrivals side, Port Qasim received several significant shipments. These included M.V. Twin Delight with 38,464 tonnes of coal, M.T. Chemroad Hawk bringing in 31,477 tonnes of phosphoric acid, and M.V. Albion Bay carrying 56,548 tonnes of coal. Additionally, M.T. Eva Gold unloaded 19,000 tonnes of palm oil, while M.T. Voula brought in 54,861 tonnes of gasolene.

Officials noted that such consistent activity underscores the port’s capacity to handle diverse cargo efficiently, from fuel imports to industrial raw materials. The mix of dry bulk, liquid bulk, and container traffic also reflects the growing complexity of shipping operations at the Port.

PQA continues to emphasize operational efficiency, ensuring that all vessel handling is conducted smoothly to support Pakistan’s import and export requirements. With this level of daily activity, Port Qasim remains a cornerstone of the nation’s maritime and commercial infrastructure.
