Port Qasim Activity

Karachi, June 20, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its detailed shipping activity report for Friday, June 20, 2025, highlighting a surge in maritime operations over the past 24 hours.

As of 0800 hours, Port Qasim remained a vital hub for commercial trade, witnessing consistent berthing, sailing, and shifting of vessels that reflect the growing tempo of port activity in Pakistan’s maritime sector.

According to the report, a variety of cargoes, including palm oil, LPG, mogas, soybean seed, and canola seed, were handled efficiently, underlining the port’s operational diversity. Two significant vessels, M.T-M Bright and M.V-Falkonera, completed their cargo discharge and set sail after successfully unloading palm oil and soybean seed, respectively. Their departure marks another successful turnaround in Port Qasim’s daily shipping activity.

Simultaneously, the port welcomed multiple vessels, including M.T-Nepta carrying LPG and M.V-Xin Lian Chang with containerized cargo. These ships were berthed without delay, demonstrating the improved logistical capacity and streamlined operations that define Port Qasim’s reputation for efficient port activity management.

Additionally, M.T-Twerk and M.T-High Leader, both carrying petroleum and edible oil products, were berthed at FOTCO and LCT terminals respectively, underscoring Port Qasim’s key role in facilitating Pakistan’s energy imports through sustained shipping activity.

Meanwhile, the report also noted vessel shifting movements, such as M.V-Lyric Harmony, which was repositioned from outer anchorage for further cargo operations. This repositioning reflects dynamic berth management strategies employed to optimize port activity and reduce vessel waiting times.

Port Qasim continues to demonstrate its strategic importance by accommodating diverse vessel types and commodities. The presence of international shipping lines and experienced shipping agents further enhances its reputation as a critical trade gateway.

As global trade patterns shift, Port Qasim’s ability to maintain high volumes of shipping activity highlights Pakistan’s expanding commercial footprint. The PQA’s daily updates serve as essential tools for shipping lines, freight handlers, and importers seeking real-time insights into port logistics and cargo flow.

Overall, Friday’s shipping report reinforces Port Qasim’s pivotal role in maintaining a seamless supply chain through continuous, high-volume port activity.
