Karachi, September 17, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its latest shipping activity report for Wednesday, September 17, 2025, providing detailed updates for the benefit of maritime stakeholders and trade partners.

According to the report, Port Qasim issued a summary at 0800 hours, covering the vessel movements of the past 24 hours. The update highlighted sailing, berthing, and shifting operations across different terminals of the port.

During the period, the vessel M.V. Shanghai Bulker departed from Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PIBT) at 1500 hours after completing its operations. Meanwhile, three significant ships were berthed at Port Qasim, including M.V. Hansa Africa at the QT2-II terminal, M.T. DS Ocean at the EVTL facility, and M.V. Hua Chuang 66 at QICT-V. These vessels carried a mix of bulk and containerized cargo, strengthening shipping traffic at the facility.

In addition, vessel shifting activity was also reported. The tanker M.T. Saga and dredger M.V. Indus Dolphin were moved between designated berths to streamline port operations. Such shifting ensures optimal use of terminal space and uninterrupted handling of incoming cargo.

Port Qasim continues to play a crucial role in Pakistan’s maritime trade, with consistent shipping activity reflecting its importance as a national logistics hub. The report underlined the efficiency of the port’s management in facilitating smooth cargo flow, boosting both imports and exports.
