Karachi, September 18, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its latest shipping activity report on Thursday, providing an update on vessel movements during the past 24 hours.
The report, updated at 8:00 a.m., detailed both sailings and berthings that took place at the busy maritime hub.
According to PQA, three vessels departed during the reporting period. The container ship M.V. Hansa Africa sailed out of the terminal at 12:30 p.m., followed later in the afternoon by the oil tanker M.T. DS Ocean at 3:30 p.m. In the evening, the bulk carrier M.V. Hongyong Changsheng also departed, completing the day’s list of outbound ships.
On the berthing side, activity remained steady. The vessel M.V. Highway berthed at QICT-VII in the early hours of the morning, around 2:30 a.m. Later in the day, M.V. Hongyong Changsheng re-entered for berthing at QT2-I around 12:30 p.m., while the large container ship M.V. MSC Michigan VII docked at QT2-II by 6:00 p.m.
The shipping report emphasized that Port Qasim continues to handle a diverse mix of cargo, ranging from containers to oil and bulk commodities. Port officials noted that timely sailing and berthing schedules are essential to ensure smooth shipping operations, minimize delays, and support Pakistan’s growing trade activities.
