Port Qasim maintains busy maritime activity with multiple vessel movements

Port Qasim records several scheduled departures and arrivals, including container ships and vessels carrying palm oil, LPG and chemicals.

KARACHI: Port Qasim remained operationally active during the 24-hour period ending at 8:00am on October 2, 2026, with several commercial vessels scheduled to depart from and berth at the port, according to the daily shipping report issued by the Port Qasim Authority (PQA).

Four vessels were scheduled to sail during the afternoon. Container vessel M.V SLS TOPAZ, measuring 231 metres in length, departed QICT-VII at 12:30pm with a draft of 12.20 metres.

Three liquid cargo vessels were scheduled to depart at 3:30pm. They included M.T T MOUNT FUJI, carrying 21,844 metric tonnes of palm oil from the Liquid Cargo Terminal (LCT), M.T HENRIETTA KOSAN, carrying 4,300 metric tonnes of ethylene from EVTL, and M.T ALISA 1, carrying 3,445 metric tonnes of LPG from the SSGC berth.

The port also handled new arrivals. Container ship M.V ZHONG GU RI ZHAO, measuring 180 metres, was scheduled to berth at QICT-VII at 3:30pm.

Two additional liquid cargo vessels were scheduled to berth at 6:30pm. M.T YC DAISY was carrying 18,566 metric tonnes of palm oil, while M.T GINGA BOBCAT was carrying 24,287 metric tonnes of phosphoric acid.

The latest movements highlight continued cargo and maritime activity at the country’s major commercial port.
