Port Qasim Activity

Karachi, April 24, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released an update on its shipping operations for Thursday, April 24, 2025, highlighting a steady flow of maritime traffic and active port activity over the past 24 hours.

These shipping operations, issued promptly at 0800 hours, offer valuable insights to stakeholders involved in logistics, trade, and maritime services.

According to the PQA, Port Qasim continues to handle a robust schedule of vessel traffic, ensuring that port operations remain smooth and efficient. Multiple ships have either berthed or departed, carrying essential imports like palm oil and soybean seeds—commodities that play a crucial role in Pakistan’s food and industrial sectors.

Among the notable movements, the vessel M.T. Fortune Youngin departed the port after discharging approximately 3,400 metric tons of palm oil. Simultaneously, several large vessels, including M.V. Atlantic Samurai and M.T. Nave Estella, berthed at Port Qasim with bulk cargoes such as soybean seeds and palm oil, continuing the uninterrupted flow of import operations. The port has managed these movements with precision, underlining the strength of its shipping coordination and berthing procedures.

The Port Qasim Authority has maintained high standards in port operations, ensuring that each vessel is managed according to international maritime protocols. These operations are essential not only for timely cargo handling but also for maintaining the integrity of Pakistan’s overall shipping logistics.

Several terminals, including PIBT, FOTCO, LCT, and QICT, were actively involved in the berthing of large vessels, showcasing Port Qasim’s capacity to manage diverse shipping needs across multiple berths. As shipping activity grows, port officials continue to emphasize efficiency and safety in all ongoing operations.

With its current pace and commitment, Port Qasim remains a central hub for maritime trade, and its well-coordinated shipping operations ensure that Pakistan’s import and export demands are met without disruption.
