Port Qasim Shipping Operations – April 7, 2025

Karachi, April 7, 2025 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its latest report on shipping operations, providing vital updates for maritime stakeholders, shipping agents, and trade operators.

The report, issued at 0800 hours on Monday, outlines vessel activity over the past 24 hours at one of Pakistan’s busiest commercial seaports.

Port Qasim continues to play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of imports and exports, and Monday’s report underscores the ongoing efficiency and coordination of shipping operations. According to PQA, multiple vessels were engaged in berthing, sailing, and cargo handling as part of the daily port routine.

Two vessels departed from the port following the completion of their shipping operations. The M.V-MSC Positano, loaded with containers, sailed from Berth QT2-I under the agency of MSC Pakistan, while M.V-Xpress Kohima departed from QICT-V, managed by X-Press Feeders. Both ships were cleared successfully after completing their operations without delay.

Meanwhile, berthing operations saw the arrival of several significant vessels. M.V-Riva Wind berthed at PIBT to discharge 51,730 metric tons of imported coal, marking a key operation in the port’s bulk handling division. Simultaneously, M.V-MSC Aquarius was berthed at QT2-II for container operations under MSC Pakistan’s agency, reflecting Port Qasim’s continued importance in containerized trade.

Additionally, M.V-Donna Alexandra docked at PIBT to offload a substantial 68,716 metric tons of soybean seed, further strengthening agricultural imports. The smooth management of such operations highlights Port Qasim’s capability to handle diverse cargo types with precision.

Other vessels, including M.T-Kaisa I and M.V-Seaspan Santos, are expected to join the lineup of active shipping operations later in the evening, further increasing activity within port boundaries.

Port Qasim’s daily updates on shipping operations offer critical transparency and allow logistic partners to plan cargo movement with better accuracy. The consistent pace of operations also speaks to the port’s infrastructure readiness and professional workforce.

As maritime trade continues to grow, Port Qasim remains a cornerstone in Pakistan’s economic engine, with its shipping operations serving as a reliable link in global supply chains.
