Karachi, August 22, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its latest shipping operations update for Friday, August 22, 2025, providing detailed information on vessel movements, berthing schedules, and cargo handling at one of Pakistan’s busiest maritime gateways.
The report, issued at 0800 hours, covers a 24-hour operational window.
According to Port Qasim officials, vessel traffic maintained a steady flow with multiple ships completing their sailing schedules while others were accommodated for berthing. The operations highlighted the efficient handling of essential commodities, including large consignments of coal, which remain a vital import for the country’s energy sector.
Among the vessels that sailed, M.V-BULK BEQUIA departed after discharging a significant coal consignment, while M.T-KHAIRPUR and M.T-SOUTHERN ROBIN also completed their schedules, ensuring timely cargo clearance and smooth port operations.
For berthing, M.V-AQUAVITA TRUST docked to offload over 58,000 metric tons of coal, supported by Port Qasim’s modern handling facilities. Additionally, M.T-SG PEGASUS and M.T-NAVE CASSIOPEIA were scheduled for berthing to continue seamless operations across multiple terminals.
Port Qasim continues to reinforce its role as a critical hub for Pakistan’s maritime trade, handling a variety of cargo efficiently while maintaining strict safety and operational standards. The PQA emphasized that timely sailing and berthing activities are key to ensuring uninterrupted supply chains and supporting national economic activity.
