Karachi, March 25, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released a comprehensive report on the shipping operations conducted over the past 24 hours to keep stakeholders informed.
The report, updated at 0800 hours, outlines key movements, including vessel departures, arrivals, and shifts within the port.
Vessel Departures
Several vessels set sail from Port Qasim after successfully completing their operations. Among them was M.V. Agri Ocean, which departed carrying a significant consignment of soybean seed. Another major departure was M.V. Eleni T, which transported containerized cargo, marking a crucial movement in the shipping industry. These departures reflect the continuous flow of trade through the port, ensuring smooth logistical operations for importers and exporters.
Vessel Arrivals and Berthing
The port also saw multiple vessels arriving and berthing for unloading and loading activities. Notably, M.T. FSM docked at the terminal to discharge liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), a key energy commodity. Additionally, M.V. Hatthaya Naree berthed to offload a large shipment of chickpeas, contributing to the steady supply of essential food products. Other container vessels, including M.V. Northern Jamboree and M.V. SM Mahi, secured their positions at various berths, further enhancing the shipping operations at Port Qasim.
Shifting of Vessels
To optimize space and enhance efficiency, vessel shifting was also carried out at the port. M.V. Super Arteta, which was handling a significant shipment of rice, was repositioned from anchorage to facilitate better cargo management.
