Karachi, May 5, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released an updated report on shipping operations as of 0800 hours on Monday, May 5, 2025.
The daily operations report is intended to keep port users and maritime stakeholders informed of ongoing shipping activities, vessel movements, and overall port logistics.
According to the latest report, shipping operations at Port Qasim remained active and uninterrupted over the past 24 hours, with several key vessel movements recorded. The port witnessed both the arrival and departure of cargo ships handling a range of commodities crucial to Pakistan’s trade supply chain.
Among the outgoing vessels, M.T Southern Wolf, a 149-meter-long tanker, departed from the port after completing its discharge of 15,018 metric tons of Paraxylene. The vessel, handled by Al-Pine Marine, set sail from the EVTL terminal at 15:30 hours. This movement marked a significant phase in Monday’s operations, demonstrating efficient turnaround management.
Simultaneously, the port also facilitated the berthing operations of several incoming vessels. These included M.V Eleni T, M.T Pelegic Trapon, M.V Meghna Venus, and M.T Glen Cove. The latter vessel, also managed by Al-Pine Marine, berthed at EVTL at 18:30 hours with a manifest carrying 5,219 metric tons of EDC (Ethylene Dichloride). The arrival of these ships highlights Port Qasim’s growing importance as a regional trade hub, handling diversified cargo with increasing precision and speed.
Throughout the day, shipping operations continued to reflect a high degree of coordination between terminal operators, agents, and port authorities. The smooth transition between inbound and outbound vessels underscores the efficiency of the current operations framework at Port Qasim.
