Karachi, February 18, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released the shipping operations update for Tuesday, February 18, 2025, to facilitate stakeholders and ensure smooth port activities.

The operations report, updated at 8:00 AM for the last 24 hours, highlights significant movements of vessels, including sailings, berthings, and shifts.

According to the Port Qasim Authority, multiple vessels have sailed during the past day. Among the notable sailings, the vessel M.T-AU LIBRA, with a length of 124 meters, departed carrying 12,000 metric tons of palm oil. The ship, managed by AL-PINE MARINE, set sail at 3:00 PM from the Liquid Cargo Terminal (LCT). Another departure was the M.T-MP MR TANKER 1, which left the FOTCO terminal at 3:30 PM, transporting 34,995 metric tons of motor gasoline (MOGAS). Additionally, M.V-GULF BARAKAH, a container vessel managed by GAC SHIPPING, sailed from QICT-VII at 11:30 PM.

Berthing activities also remained dynamic at Port Qasim. The M.V-MSC NAIROBI X, a container vessel with a length of 300 meters, berthed at terminal QT2-II at 3:15 PM. The tanker M.T-SEA LEGEND, carrying 15,000 metric tons of soybean oil, berthed at the LCT terminal at 6:00 PM under the management of AL-PINE MARINE. Another significant arrival was the M.T-UOG HARRIET G, which berthed at FOTCO at 7:00 PM to offload 39,788 metric tons of motor gasoline.

The port also reported vessel shifting activities to optimize terminal utilization. The vessel M.V-SPIKE, laden with 58,618 metric tons of soybean seeds, was shifted from outer anchorage to a designated berth at midnight. This movement was facilitated by AL-PINE MARINE to expedite cargo handling.
