Karachi, March 4, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released an update on shipping operations for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, to ensure the smooth handling of cargo and facilitate all stakeholders involved in maritime trade.

The latest shipping operations report was issued at 0800 hours, detailing vessel movements over the past 24 hours.

According to Port Qasim, multiple vessels have arrived, berthed, and shifted within the port to accommodate the ongoing demand for imports and exports. The port remains a critical hub for shipping activities, handling various commodities such as containers, coal, sand, and chickpeas.

Berthing Operations:

Several vessels have docked at different terminals of Port Qasim. Among them, M.V. AMERICA, a large container ship registered under PQA, berthed at QT2-II under the agency of MSC Pakistan. Similarly, M.V. NYMPH, carrying 15,000 metric tons of sand, secured a position at M/W-II under the management of Bulk Shipping Agencies. Another significant arrival includes M.V. VALENCE, a container ship under COSCO SAEED, which docked at QICT-V. Additionally, M.V. IVS PROGRESS, carrying 58,479 metric tons of coal, and M.V. TOINY, loaded with 56,113 metric tons of chickpeas, berthed at PIBT.

Shifting Operations:

To optimize shipping logistics and port efficiency, certain vessels have been repositioned within Port Qasim. M.V. KATAGALAN BRAVE, transporting 68,250 metric tons of soybean seeds, was shifted at midnight from one berth to another under the supervision of Ocean Services. This process ensures a steady flow of goods through the port, reducing delays and maximizing productivity.

Port Qasim continues to play a vital role in Pakistan’s trade and economy, handling significant shipping traffic daily. With efficient berthing and shifting operations, the port ensures that international and domestic shipping activities proceed without disruptions.
