Karachi, August 6, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its latest update on shipping operations to keep stakeholders informed of ongoing activities at the port.
The report, covering the 24-hour period ending at 0800 hours on Wednesday, reflects continued efficiency in vessel handling and cargo management.
According to the official statement, multiple vessels successfully sailed from the port during this period. These included the tanker M.T-SEARAY, which departed after offloading 24,960 metric tons of palm oil, and the container ship M.V-MSC VITTORIA, which concluded its operations at the container terminal before setting sail in the afternoon.
Simultaneously, new vessels berthed at Port Qasim to begin their operations. These included M.T-FUWAIRIT, carrying 135,928 metric tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG), and M.V-HANSA AFRICA, loaded with containers. Additional ships such as M.T-BLUE BIRD, M.T-DS ROSA, and M.T-PVT SOLANA also arrived for the handling of petroleum products and palm oil.
The Port Qasim Authority continues to monitor shipping operations to ensure timely vessel movements, cargo discharge, and minimal delays. As one of the busiest maritime gateways in Pakistan, the port plays a vital role in facilitating international trade, especially in energy and containerized goods.
PQA emphasized that all ongoing operations are being managed efficiently through coordination between terminal operators, ship agents, and marine services.
