Karachi, July 11, 2025 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily update on shipping operations for Friday, providing a detailed account of vessel movements and cargo activities over the past 24 hours.

This regular report aims to facilitate all stakeholders involved in trade and logistics through Port Qasim.

According to the PQA, the shipping operations report was compiled at 0800 hours and reflects vessel traffic, cargo handling, and terminal utilization across various berths.

In terms of vessel departures, the LPG carrier M.T YASHAR set sail from the port after successfully completing its cargo discharge. The ship, operated by Universal Shipping, had a length of 97 meters and was carrying 2,114 metric tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). It departed from the EVTL berth with a uniform draft of 6.10 meters by 3:00 PM.

On the arrivals front, Port Qasim witnessed the berthing of multiple vessels carrying essential bulk commodities. The bulk carrier M.V KEDROS, with a length of 200 meters, berthed at the FAP terminal at 9:00 AM. The vessel, managed by Al-Pine Marine, brought in a substantial load of 59,366 metric tons of soybean seeds, signifying strong agri-imports. Another bulk carrier, M.V ND ARISTEIA, measuring 199.92 meters, arrived with a 58,798 metric ton consignment of coal. It was handled by Ocean World and berthed at the Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PIBT) by 2:30 PM.

Additionally, tanker M.T SOUTHERN ROBIN arrived at EVTL with 9,542 metric tons of paraxylene. The vessel, also managed by Al-Pine Marine, berthed at 6:00 PM with a 9.52-meter draft. Tanker M.T ZERVOS also joined the port’s list of active vessels, docking at the FOTCO terminal.

These operations highlight the continued growth and efficient throughput capacity of Port Qasim, a key maritime gateway for Pakistan’s imports and exports. The PQA emphasized that such robust shipping operations contribute significantly to ensuring smooth supply chain movement across industrial sectors.
