Karachi, July 30, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its daily shipping operations report on Tuesday, providing a comprehensive overview of maritime activities at the port over the past 24 hours.

The report, updated at 0800 hours, highlights key developments in vessel movements, berthing, and cargo handling.

According to PQA, shipping operations at Port Qasim remained robust with several key vessels engaged in both import and export activities. The port continues to play a vital role in sustaining Pakistan’s maritime trade flow, handling a variety of commodities ranging from coal and steel to containers and petroleum products.

During the reported timeframe, vessel M.V. MAKRA departed from the port carrying 42,353 metric tons of coal. Meanwhile, six vessels berthed at Port Qasim to discharge or load cargoes, marking a busy day for port operations.

Among the newly berthed ships, M.V. HANSA AFRICA and M.V. BREMEN EXPRESS were involved in container handling, while M.T. POLYAIGOS arrived with a consignment of high-sulfur fuel oil. M.V. TRUONG AN STAR berthed with 10,726 metric tons of fertilizer, M.V. EQUITY carried 26,017 metric tons of steel coil, and M.V. ABILENE arrived with 42,510 metric tons of coal.

Port Qasim’s efficient coordination of berthing schedules and cargo handling reflects its growing capacity to manage complex shipping operations. The authority continues to ensure smooth functioning of port logistics, contributing to uninterrupted trade activities and strengthening Pakistan’s supply chain.
