Karachi, June 19, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its daily shipping operations report on Thursday morning to keep trade and maritime stakeholders informed about the latest activity at one of Pakistan’s busiest seaports.
The report reflects Port Qasim’s shipping operations during the past 24 hours, recorded until 0800 hours on June 19, 2025.
The PQA report outlines the berthing and sailing movements of several vessels that played a crucial role in maintaining the flow of import and export operations through the port. The details underscore the strategic role of Port Qasim in facilitating maritime trade and ensuring smooth shipping operations.
Vessel Departures:
According to the port’s official data, two vessels completed cargo handling and departed the port. These included:
• M.T SC Ocean LXI, which sailed after unloading 50,000 metric tons of high sulphur fuel oil (HSFO).
• M.T Damsgaard, which completed the discharge of 19,075 metric tons of phosphoric acid.
Both vessels departed under the supervision of their respective shipping agents—AL-Pine Marine and Eastwind Shipping—from the FOTCO and EVTL terminals, respectively.
Vessel Arrivals and Berthing:
Port Qasim also saw the berthing of five vessels to facilitate diverse cargo handling operations:
• M.V Maria Topic and M.V Atlantic Sakura berthed at Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PIBT), carrying 58,374 metric tons of coal and 63,535 metric tons of canola seed, respectively.
• M.V Groton, although with unspecified cargo details, berthed at QT2-I terminal.
• M.T Nepta, laden with 3,980 metric tons of LPG, was handled at EVTL.
• M.T Twerk, carrying 57,377 metric tons of Mogas, berthed at FOTCO.
These active port operations highlight the continued functionality of Port Qasim despite rising global shipping challenges. The Port Authority remains committed to ensuring efficient cargo handling and streamlined maritime operations, reinforcing Port Qasim’s position as a critical hub in Pakistan’s import-export supply chain.
