Port Qasim Shipping Operations – September 13, 2025

Karachi, September 13, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its daily report on shipping activities for Saturday, September 13, 2025, providing a detailed account of vessel movements and operational updates.

The report, issued at 0800 hours, covers the previous 24 hours of traffic at the busy port.

According to the update, multiple vessels were handled for both imports and exports, reflecting the steady pace of trade through one of Pakistan’s key maritime hubs. Several ships sailed out of the port during the day, while new vessels berthed to discharge and load cargo. Among those departing were tankers carrying petroleum products, while container vessels managed essential trade consignments, highlighting the importance of shipping routes in supporting Pakistan’s economy.

On the arrivals side, bulk carriers, oil tankers, and container vessels docked at different terminals, including FOTCO, PIBT, and LCT. These terminals specialize in managing liquid cargo, dry bulk, and containerized goods, ensuring smooth shipping operations. Agents and terminal operators were actively coordinating to maintain efficiency despite high traffic at the port.

Port Qasim remains a critical lifeline for Pakistan’s trade, handling thousands of tons of goods daily. The shipping activities reported on Saturday underline the port’s strategic role in facilitating imports of essential commodities such as fuel, chemicals, and food supplies, while also supporting exports that contribute to the country’s revenue. Continuous monitoring and timely updates by the PQA help stakeholders plan logistics and manage supply chains effectively.
