Karachi, July 8, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily update on shipping operations as of 0800 hours on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, highlighting key maritime activities over the past 24 hours.
The update is part of PQA’s routine effort to keep port users and stakeholders informed of ongoing and scheduled operations.
According to the latest report, shipping activities at Port Qasim continue to operate smoothly, reflecting the port’s robust handling capacity and efficient turnaround practices. In the last 24 hours, two vessels successfully departed after completing cargo operations. These included M.T-EVA GOLD, which sailed after discharging 18,999 metric tons of palm oil, and M.T-AN 61, which handled a shipment of 3,050 metric tons of LPG. Their smooth departure underlines the effective coordination between shipping lines and port authorities.
Simultaneously, Port Qasim also recorded the berthing of four vessels, showcasing a diverse range of cargo operations. These included M.V-IVS PHOENIX, which berthed with 58,344 metric tons of coal, and M.V-ZHONG HANG SHENG, which arrived for containerized operations, signaling continued activity in bulk and container shipping. Two additional tankers, M.T-EVA PEARL and M.T-SC CITRINE, berthed for unloading palm oil and acetic acid, respectively.
These ongoing operations demonstrate Port Qasim’s capacity to manage varied shipping requirements, ensuring timely processing of liquid bulk, dry bulk, and containerized cargo. The presence of global shipping agents and diverse commodities reflects Port Qasim’s growing relevance as a major maritime hub for Pakistan.
