Port Qasim schedules vessels carrying soybean, rice, palm oil, coal, canola seed and petroleum products.
KARACHI: Port Qasim recorded active maritime operations over the past 24 hours, with vessels carrying soybean seed, rice, palm oil, coal, canola seed and petroleum-related products scheduled to sail or berth at the port.
According to the latest Port Qasim Authority (PQA) shipping update issued on August 31, 2026, two vessels were scheduled to sail, while seven vessels were listed for berthing at various terminals.
Two vessels scheduled to sail
The bulk carrier M.V. The Finder, registered under PQA No. 37735, is scheduled to depart at 12:00 noon after handling 64,878 tonnes of soybean seed at the FAP berth.
The vessel has a length overall of 225 metres and a draft of 13 metres.
The tanker M.T. Gas Lotus, PQA Reg No. 37818, is scheduled to sail at 3:00pm from the EVTL berth carrying 3,002 tonnes of V.C.M.
The 97-metre vessel has an aft draft of 5.90 metres and a forward draft of 4.80 metres.
Both vessels are represented by Al-Pine Marine.
Seven vessels scheduled for berthing
Port Qasim is also scheduled to receive seven vessels carrying containers, agricultural commodities, coal and petroleum products.
The M.V. MSC Colombo V, a 294-metre container vessel represented by MSC Pakistan, is scheduled to berth at 9:00am at QT2-II. The vessel has a draft of 9.90 metres.
The M.V. Solana S is due to berth at 9:30am at M/W-I, carrying 25,000 tonnes of rice. The 169-metre vessel is represented by Eastwind Shipping and has a draft of 5.50 metres.
Also scheduled to berth at 9:30am is the M.T. M Bristol, which will handle 26,749 tonnes of palm oil at the LCT berth. The 175-metre tanker has a draft of 9.50 metres and is represented by Al-Pine Marine.
At 3:00pm, the M.V. Chang Chang Nan Ha is scheduled to berth at PIBT with 54,404 tonnes of coal. The 190-metre vessel has a draft of 12.75 metres and is represented by Trade2Shore.
The M.V. AOM Piera, a 229-metre vessel, is also due at 3:00pm at FAP carrying 64,506 tonnes of canola seed. The vessel has a draft of 12.80 metres and is represented by Ocean Services.
The tanker M.T. Lian Shun Hu is scheduled to berth at 3:00pm at FOTCO carrying 56,875 tonnes of MOGAS. The vessel is 229 metres long, has a draft of 11.90 metres and is represented by Al-Pine Marine.
Later in the day, the M.T. Gaschem Werra is scheduled to berth at 6:00pm at EVTL carrying 3,500 tonnes of ethylene.
The 115-metre vessel has a draft of 7.25 metres and is represented by Al-Pine Marine.
Port Qasim maintains diverse cargo activity
The latest shipping schedule reflects continued movement of agricultural commodities, energy products, industrial chemicals and containerised cargo through Port Qasim.
The diverse range of vessels and cargoes highlights the port’s role in supporting Pakistan’s import and export supply chains, particularly for essential food commodities, fuel and industrial inputs.
