Karachi, February 5, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has provided an updated report on its shipping operations for Wednesday, February 5, 2025, ensuring transparency and efficiency for all stakeholders involved in maritime trade.
The latest shipping activities were reported at 0800 hours today, covering the last 24 hours of port operations.
Sailing of Vessels
Several ships departed from Port Qasim as part of its continuous shipping operations. The M.T-YUN DIING 19, carrying 22,955 metric tons of palm oil, departed at 14:00 under the agency of Al-Pine Marine from LCT berth. Additionally, the M.V-AYAT set sail from M/W-II with 11,000 metric tons of palm kernel under Ocean Services’ agency at the same time. The M.V-CL DIYIN HE, managed by GM Shipping Operation, sailed from PIBT with a cargo of 59,613 metric tons of coal at 15:00.
Furthermore, the M.T-NCC SAMA left the port at 15:30, carrying 39,767 metric tons of H.S.D.O under Al-Pine Marine. Later in the evening, the M.V-MAERSK CAIRO was scheduled to depart at 22:00 from berth QT2-I, reflecting the port’s continuous shipping activities throughout the day.
Berthing of Vessels
Port Qasim also witnessed a series of berthing operations as part of its extensive shipping movements. The M.V-MAERSK CAIRO berthed at QT2-I at 11:30, bringing in containerized cargo under GAC Shipping. The M.T-AL AREESH, an LNG carrier with 140,303 metric tons of liquefied natural gas, was docked at PGPCL at 14:00 by GSA (PVT) LTD.
Other vessels that berthed later in the day included the M.V-CMA CGM DOLPHIN at QICT-VII at 17:00, the M.V-LEO at QT2-II at 17:15, and the M.T-NAKHAL SILVER, which arrived at LCT at 17:30 with 18,549 metric tons of soybean seed under Ocean Services. Additionally, the M.V-MARIA, carrying 37,420 metric tons of cement, was berthed at M/W-I at 17:45 under Eastwind Shipping. The day concluded with the M.V-DL PANSY berthing at PIBT at 18:30, carrying 55,862 metric tons of coal under the T2S shipping agency.
Shifting of Vessels
As part of ongoing shipping logistics, vessel shifting activities also took place within the port. The M.V-GLBS HERO, transporting 40,104 metric tons of rice, was shifted from M/W-I at midnight under Eastwind Shipping to optimize berthing space and facilitate smoother cargo handling.
