Karachi, July 9, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has issued its daily shipping operations report for Wednesday, July 9, 2025, providing a comprehensive update on vessel movements and cargo handling activities over the past 24 hours. The update, released at 0800 hours, serves as a key reference for maritime stakeholders and logistics operators to assess shipping traffic and port efficiency.
According to the latest PQA operations report, two vessels sailed out during the reporting period. The PQA-registered vessel M.V. AFRICAN FLAMINGO, carrying 60,249 metric tons of coal, departed from Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PIBT), while M.V. KINAROS ISLAND loaded with cement cargo, sailed from Multi-purpose Wharf-II (M/W-II). These sailings reflect the steady pace of outgoing traffic and the ongoing handling of essential bulk commodities.
In terms of incoming traffic, the PQA also recorded the berthing of four vessels. The container ships M.V. VALENCE and M.V. HANSA AFRICA berthed at QICT-VII and QT2-I terminals respectively, both underlining the active container trade through Port Qasim. Additionally, M.V. GEORGIA M and M.V. LUCKY EILEEN arrived and were assigned berths at PQEPT and M/W-I respectively. These berthings highlight the diverse nature of maritime cargo and the operational capacity of the port to manage simultaneous traffic.
The PQA emphasized that the ongoing operations are being conducted smoothly with no significant delays reported. Efficient berthing and sailing procedures are part of PQA’s broader strategy to enhance port productivity and support Pakistan’s growing trade and industrial activity.
Port Qasim remains a critical maritime hub for Pakistan, and the daily operations report offers insights into the volume and nature of cargo handled. By maintaining transparency and timely updates, the PQA ensures seamless coordination between port authorities, shipping lines, customs officials, and private logistics stakeholders.
With consistent monitoring and improvements in operational logistics, PQA aims to boost throughput and strengthen its position as a key facilitator of international maritime trade. The authority continues to refine its shipping operations protocols to support economic growth and global connectivity.
