Predator: Badlands Trailer Teases Shocking Alien Crossover

Entertainment World

The official trailer for Predator: Badlands has just dropped, revealing a thrilling crossover between the Predator and Alien universes.

Released by 20th Century Studios on July 21, the upcoming sci-fi action film is directed by Prey helmer Dan Trachtenberg and stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi.

Set in the distant future on a dangerous, remote planet, Predator: Badlands follows Dek, a young Predator viewed as weak by his own species.

To earn his place among his warrior clan, Dek embarks on a brutal solo hunt. However, his journey takes an unexpected turn when he encounters an unlikely ally—Thia, an android created by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, a key player in the Alien franchise.

This marks a major development in the Predator lore, directly connecting it with the Alien universe through the introduction of Weyland-Yutani and its synthetic creations. In the trailer, Thia awakens in an unfamiliar environment and eventually partners with Dek, forming an unusual alliance.

Elle Fanning takes on the physically challenging role of Thia, a legless android who still manages to prove herself a formidable force. In one striking moment, Dek carries Thia’s upper body like a backpack as they battle through the treacherous terrain together.

The trailer concludes with an ominous line from Fanning’s character: “We might not be alone in this hunt,” hinting at possible appearances from Xenomorphs and setting the stage for a multi-franchise showdown.

With intense visuals, emotional depth, and a crossover twist, Predator: Badlands looks to be a bold new chapter in both the Predator and Alien sagas. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on November 7, 2025, and is already building buzz among science fiction fans.

This crossover could reignite interest in both franchises, setting up future installments and expanding the shared cinematic universe even further.
