Apple has officially unveiled its iPhone 17 lineup, consisting of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Pre-orders for all four models begin on Friday, September 12, across 63 first-wave markets including the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, China, India, and South Korea. Deliveries will start on September 19, followed by a second wave of 22 countries on September 26.
This year, Apple introduced a notable upgrade across the base iPhone 17 model. For the first time, the standard iPhone matches the Pro models with a 120Hz ProMotion display, Always-On functionality, ProRes video recording, and improved anti-reflective coating.
Another major change is storage — the iPhone 17 now starts at 256GB, doubling the entry-level capacity without an increase in price for most regions.
The iPhone 17 Pro also moves to a 256GB base configuration but sees a price hike of $100/€100/£100 compared to last year. However, when adjusted for storage, the pricing remains consistent.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max, which already launched with 256GB storage as standard, retains similar pricing across major markets, with only India and Japan seeing higher costs.
Replacing the iPhone 16 Plus, the new iPhone 17 Air is more premium than its predecessor. It comes with ProMotion, an upgraded build quality, and the powerful A19 Pro chipset. While it costs $100/€100/£100 more than the 16 Plus, buyers also get double the storage, making it a more balanced deal.
Here are the official starting prices of the iPhone 17 series in key markets:
United States: iPhone 17 – $799 | Air – $999 | Pro – $1,099 | Pro Max – $1,199
