After the approval of the budget for 2023-24 by the National Assembly of Pakistan on June 25, 2023, new tax regulations have been implemented for motor vehicles, including the Hyundai Sonata 2.5.
Starting from July 01, 2023, the provincial excise and taxation department, along with vehicle manufacturers, have introduced revised tax rates that will be applicable.
According to the revised tax structure, vehicles with engines ranging from 2001cc to 2500cc will be subject to a tax rate of 6 percent of their value. Since the Hyundai Sonata 2.5 is equipped with a 2500cc petrol engine, it falls within this category.
Currently priced at Rs11,280,000, the Hyundai Sonata 2.5 will now be subject to an advance tax of 6 percent based on its value, as per the revised tax rates.
