Prices of Hyundai cars increased after imposition of new taxes

The prices of Hyundai cars have been increased after imposition of new taxes and devaluation of Pakistani Rupee (PKR) against US Dollar.

The federal cabinet approved the Finance Supplementary Bill 2023 allowing increase in general sales tax to 18 per cent and additional taxes on luxury items as part of the reforms related to the International Monetary Fund’s Ninth Review.

The uncertain economic situation and devaluation of local currency has made it extremely difficult for Hyundai Nishat Motors to hold the current retail selling prices and therefore, the company has decided to pass on the impact to the market.

Following are the increased prices for all variants of Hyundai Sonata:

The price of Hyundai Sonata 2.0 has been increased by Rs75,000 to Rs8,724,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs8,649,000.

The price of Hyundai Sonata 2.5 has been increased by Rs85,000 to Rs9,484,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs9,399,000.

Following are the increased prices for all variants of Hyundai Elantra:

The price of Hyundai Elantra GL has been increased by Rs50,000 to Rs5,749,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs5,699,000.

The price of Hyundai Elantra GLS has been increased by Rs55,000 to Rs6,154,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs6,099,000.

Following are the increased prices for all variants of Hyundai Tucson:

The price of Hyundai Tucson GLS Sport has been increased by Rs65,000 to Rs7,464,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs7,399,000.

The price of Hyundai Tucson Ultimate has been increased by Rs70,000 to Rs7,969,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs7,899,000.

Following are the increased prices for all variants of Hyundai Staria:

The price of Hyundai Staria 3.5 A/T has been increased by Rs75,000 to Rs8,364,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs8,289,000.

The price of Hyundai Staria 2.20 M/T has been increased by Rs75,000 to Rs8,499,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs8,424,000.

The price of Hyundai Staria 2.20 A/T has been increased by Rs80,000 to Rs8,909,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs8,829,000.

The price of Hyundai Staria HGS has been increased by Rs100,000 to Rs11,009,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs10,909,000.
