Prince William, the eldest son of King Charles III and heir to the British throne, is expected to take on a significantly expanded role in 2026 as the royal family prepares for a major transition aimed at safeguarding the future of the monarchy.
According to royal astrology expert Debbie Frank, the new year will mark a turning point for the Prince of Wales, with his sense of duty intensifying from the very beginning of 2026.
“As early as January 3, when the Full Moon activates Prince William’s destiny point, he will become aware that 2026 is going to be high impact,” Frank told HELLO! magazine.
The astrologer explained that from February onward, major planetary movements will further reinforce William’s responsibilities. “Both his Sun and Moon in the sensitive sign of Cancer are picking up a big change, which activates his sense of duty,” she said.
Frank suggested that these astrological shifts signal one of the most significant shake-ups within the royal family in recent years. While William may feel a personal urge to retreat, she believes his natural empathy will define his leadership style.
“William will be assuming a bigger role, but personally he may feel like diving into his Cancerian shell,” she explained. “However, he steps up and will show that empathy is his superpower as a future King.”
The expert added that Prince William is likely to become increasingly visible both nationally and internationally. “There will be a greater requirement for him to be out there globally and also very present for the people in the UK,” she said.
At 43, William has already begun outlining his vision for the monarchy. Speaking to Eugene Levy on The Reluctant Traveler, the Prince of Wales emphasized that change will be central to his reign.
“I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good,” William said. “I embrace that change—I don’t fear it. That’s the exciting part: being able to bring change that needs to happen, without being overly radical.”
As 2026 approaches, Prince William appears poised to step into a more influential role, signaling a new chapter for both the future king and the modern monarchy.
