December 21, 2025 – Prince William, the Prince of Wales, brought his son Prince George to a homelessness project for the first time, continuing a family tradition inspired by his late mother, Princess Diana.
The royal duo visited The Passage in Victoria, London, on Tuesday, where they helped prepare the organization’s annual Christmas lunch for people experiencing homelessness. The visit mirrors a trip William took as a child with Diana, Princess of Wales.
Shortly after sharing a video of William and George on social media, the official Prince and Princess of Wales account posted a throwback photo of the future king with his mother. The Instagram caption highlighted the family connection:
“Christmas at The Passage, 22 years apart. December 1993: Diana, Princess of Wales, Prince William and Passage Chefs. December 2025: Prince William, Prince George and Head Chef Claudette.”
Kensington Palace noted that William’s childhood visit to The Passage at age 11 helped shape his lifelong dedication to tackling homelessness. The experience later inspired him to create Homewards, a program aimed at demonstrating that homelessness can be eliminated through committed action and community support.
The visit underscores Prince William’s ongoing commitment to social causes and marks a special moment in Prince George’s early royal engagements, connecting the next generation to his grandmother’s charitable legacy.
