Having won the toss, Karachi Kings elected to put Lahore Qalandars into bat first. The Qalandars, in their allotted 20 overs, posted a competitive total of 175 runs for the loss of six wickets. Shaibzada Farhan played a stellar knock, remaining unbeaten with an impressive 72 runs off 45 balls. George Linde contributed an unbeaten 26 runs in just 13 balls, while Rassie van der Dussen added 26 runs from 23 deliveries.
