Karachi, December 3, 2025 – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has issued a formal directive to K-Electric Limited, the leading power utility in the country, instructing the company to transmit its annual financial statements and hold Annual General Meetings (AGMs) for the years ended June 30, 2024, and June 30, 2025.
In its notice, the PSX emphasized that K-Electric must submit the required financial statements and conduct the AGMs no later than March 31, 2026, to comply with regulatory obligations and ensure transparency for shareholders and stakeholders.
Earlier, on October 20, 2025, the PSX had highlighted concerns regarding delays in the transmission of financial reports and holding of AGMs, citing complications arising from the generation tariff determination process. These delays had raised concerns among investors and market regulators regarding compliance and corporate governance practices.
Responding to the PSX directive on Wednesday, K-Electric stated that it is fully committed to adhering to all regulatory requirements. The company assured that it will undertake all necessary measures within its control to ensure timely submission of the financial statements and organization of the AGMs.
Market analysts view this move as part of the PSX’s ongoing efforts to strengthen corporate governance and maintain investor confidence in listed companies. Stakeholders are closely watching K-Electric’s compliance with the directive, as it will reflect the company’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and regulatory adherence.
