KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday issued a holiday calendar for the year 2023. According to the calendar, the stock market may observe 16 holidays during the year.
The PSX advised all the stock brokers and concerns to note the following holidays, which will be observed by the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited during the calendar year 2023.
01. Kashmir Day, Sunday, 5th February, 2023 (one day).
02. Pakistan Day, Thursday, 23rd March, 2023 (one day).
03. Juma-Tul-Wida*, (Last Friday of Ramadan, 1444 AH), Friday, 21st April, 2023 (one day).
04. Eid-ul-Fitr* (1st, 2nd & 3rd Shawal 1444 AH) Saturday, Sunday and Monday 22nd, 23rd and 24th April, 2023 (three days).
05. Labour Day, Monday, 1st May, 2023 (one day).
06. Eid-ul-Azha* (10th, 11th and 12th Zil-Haj, 1444 AH), Thursday, Friday and Saturday 29th, 30th June and 1st July, 2023 (three days).
07. Ashura* (9th and 10th Moharram, 1445 AH), Thursday and Friday 27th and 28th July, 2023 (two days).
08. Independence Day, Monday, 14th August, 2023 (one day)
09. Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him)* (12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1445 AH), Thursday, 28th September, 2023 (one day).
10. Allama Iqbal Day, Thursday, 9th November, 2023 (one day).
11. Quaid-e-Azam Day/ Christmas, Monday, 25th December, 2023, (one day).
