Karachi, November 27, 2025 – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has issued a public alert cautioning investors about increasing fraudulent investment offers circulating across various social media platforms. These deceptive schemes are being promoted under the guise of investment advice, insider tips, and paid training courses.

According to PSX, scammers are impersonating senior corporate executives or falsely claiming affiliation with reputable companies to lure individuals into unauthorized investment programs. These fraudsters often use official names, logos, and images to create an appearance of legitimacy and gain the trust of unsuspecting users.

The fraudulent groups typically demand membership fees, promise exclusive access to high-return investment strategies, and encourage investors to transfer money to private or third-party accounts. Red flags highlighted by PSX include unrealistic profit guarantees, claims of minimal or zero risk, and pressure tactics urging immediate investment.

The PSX has advised the public to stay vigilant and avoid acting on unsolicited messages, emails, or social media posts offering investment opportunities or training programs. To prevent financial loss, investors are urged to follow key safety precautions:

• Verify credentials: Confirm that individuals or entities are licensed by checking official information on the PSX and SECP websites. Do not rely solely on social media claims.

• Protect personal information: Never share sensitive details such as passwords or bank account data with unknown individuals or unverified platforms.

• Watch for red flags: Be cautious of offers guaranteeing fixed or extraordinarily high returns with no risk, or attempts to pressure you into quick decisions.

• Avoid unsolicited advice: Refrain from responding to unexpected investment-related messages without independently verifying their authenticity.

• Check URLs and emails: Fraudsters often create fake email addresses or website links with minor spelling errors meant to deceive users.

• Conduct due diligence: Review company financials and research thoroughly before committing to any investment.

The PSX strongly recommends that investors regularly visit the official websites of SECP, PSX, CDC, and NCCPL for authentic information and guidance to make informed and secure investment decisions.
