PTA Sets Up Stall at Overseas Pakistanis Convention 2025

In line with the visionary directive of the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan to facilitate overseas Pakistanis, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has established a dedicated stall at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention 2025.

The three-day event is being held from April 13 to 15 in Islamabad.  The PTA stall is designed to provide targeted support and guidance to Pakistani expatriates regarding telecom regulations, mobile device registration, and digital services.

A major highlight is the free 120-day mobile registration facility for overseas Pakistanis upon each visit to the country. This initiative ensures uninterrupted mobile connectivity during their stay in Pakistan.

Senior Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) officials and technical experts are present at the stall to offer in-person assistance, answer queries, and demonstrate digital services through interactive displays. This hands-on support aims to enhance the user experience for overseas visitors, many of whom seek convenient and transparent access to telecom services during their time in Pakistan.

Chairman PTA, Maj. Gen. (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, visited the stall and reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to the Prime Minister’s digital inclusion agenda. “ Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is focused on enabling hassle-free telecom services and fostering a digitally empowered Pakistan for all citizens, whether they reside at home or abroad,” he stated.

He further emphasized that PTA’s efforts are geared towards promoting a seamless digital ecosystem that bridges the gap between overseas Pakistanis and their homeland through reliable and user-friendly telecom solutions.

The presence of PTA at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention underscores the government’s focus on empowering the Pakistani diaspora with digital tools and services. The initiative reflects a broader national strategy to integrate overseas Pakistanis into the country’s digital growth journey and strengthen their connection with Pakistan.

The PTA’s proactive involvement in such platforms highlights its role in building a digitally inclusive future and ensuring that overseas Pakistanis continue to benefit from efficient and transparent telecom services.
