PTA, TikTok Launch DigitalHifazat Contest for Online Safety

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has partnered with TikTok to launch the DigitalHifazat Contest, encouraging users to create digital awareness videos.

Running from October 20th to November 5th, 2024, this contest invites Pakistani residents aged 13 and above to showcase their creativity by producing short TikTok videos on important topics related to digital safety.

Participants are asked to create videos with a duration of 45 to 90 seconds, focusing on six key areas of digital awareness:

Responsible Use of Social Media

Tackling Online Harassment

Online Fraud Prevention

Youth Safety & Well-being

TikTok Safety Tools

Misinformation/Disinformation on Social Media

This initiative aims to promote a safer digital environment, especially for younger users, by addressing pressing online issues. By participating in the contest, content creators can help spread vital messages about responsible online behavior, cybersecurity, and the importance of verifying information before sharing.

To participate, creators must post their TikTok videos using the hashtag DigitalHifazat and tag ptaofficialpk in their posts. The PTA and TikTok encourage individuals to use their platforms not only for entertainment but also as a tool to educate and inform others about online safety.
