Punjab districts likely to face hot, dry weather – September 22-23

Islamabad, September 22, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly hot and dry conditions across most districts of Punjab on September 22 and September 23.

According to the PMD:

• Monday: Hot and dry weather is expected in most districts of Punjab.

• Tuesday: The same hot and dry conditions are likely to continue across the province.

National Outlook

The PMD explained that continental air is dominating over most regions of Pakistan. As a result:

• Monday: Hot and dry weather is likely in most parts of the country.

• Tuesday: Similar conditions will prevail nationwide, with partly cloudy skies expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The advisory also mentioned that hot and dry conditions will persist in flood-affected districts of Sindh and Punjab during the week.

Weather During the Past 24 Hours

Hot and dry weather dominated most areas, though drizzle was reported in Murree. The highest maximum temperatures recorded were: Nokkundi at 43°C, Dalbandin at 41°C, and Bhakkar and Sibbi at 40°C.

This outlook highlights that residents of Punjab should be prepared for continued warm and dry weather over the coming days.

Citizens are advised to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure, protect vulnerable groups, and take safety measures against prolonged periods of heat.
