The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry conditions in most districts of Punjab, with very cold weather expected in Murree, Galliyat, and surrounding areas during the morning and night hours.
According to the PMD, shallow fog in patches is likely to persist during the morning and night in several districts of Punjab, including Sialkot, Narowal, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Multan, Okara, and Sahiwal. This weather pattern is expected to continue over the weekend, prompting residents to take precautions while traveling in fog-prone areas.
On Friday night, January 24, 2025, cold and dry weather is anticipated across most districts of Punjab. Murree, Galliyat, and nearby regions are forecast to experience particularly cold temperatures, reflecting the province’s ongoing chilly weather trend.
At the national level, the PMD reported that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country, contributing to the overall cold and dry conditions. For Friday, most areas are expected to remain cold and dry, while hilly regions will experience very cold weather.
