Pakistan Weather

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released the Punjab weather forecast for Monday, June 23, 2025, indicating that the province is expected to experience predominantly hot and humid conditions, with chances of isolated rain and thunderstorms in several districts.

According to the official weather forecast, the majority of districts in Punjab will witness persistent hot and sticky weather throughout the day. However, rain-wind/thundershower activity is anticipated at isolated locations, particularly in the northern and central regions. Areas likely to receive rainfall include Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Talagang, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, and Jhang. Dust-raising and gusty winds are also forecast for southern Punjab cities like Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

The PMD stated that moist currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are presently infiltrating the upper and central regions of the country, including Punjab, thereby intensifying the humidity levels. In addition, a westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of Pakistan, contributing to potential thunderstorm activity in the evening and night hours.

On Sunday, similar weather conditions prevailed, with hot and humid air dominating most of Punjab, while select areas experienced pre-monsoon rainfall. Recorded precipitation included 91 mm in Islamabad’s Zero Point, 88 mm in Mangla, 58 mm in Rawalpindi’s Chaklala, 38 mm in Jhelum, 21 mm in Mandi Bahauddin, and smaller amounts in other northern districts.

The national outlook for Monday mirrors Punjab’s weather forecast, with hot and humid conditions predicted for much of the country. However, upper Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may see rain-wind/thundershower activity, some with isolated heavy falls. Dust storms are also expected in parts of southeast Sindh.

The maximum temperature recorded on Sunday reached a sweltering 47°C in Bhakkar (Punjab), as well as in Sibbi and Dalbandin.

In conclusion, residents across Punjab are advised to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun during peak hours, while those in rain-affected districts should remain alert for sudden weather changes as per the latest forecast.
