Islamabad, February 1, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released its weather forecast for Punjab for Sunday, February 2, 2025, predicting cold and dry conditions across most districts of the province.
According to PMD’s latest advisory, Punjab will experience partly cloudy weather, with isolated light rain and snowfall expected in Murree, Galliyat, and nearby areas during the morning hours. Additionally, light to moderate fog is likely to develop in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, and Mandi Bahauddin during early morning hours.
For Saturday night, February 1, 2025, cold and dry conditions will prevail across most districts of Punjab, with cloudy weather accompanied by light rain and snowfall expected in Murree, Galliyat, and adjacent areas. Meanwhile, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, and surrounding regions may witness light rain or drizzle with gusty winds.
At the national level, the PMD has reported the presence of a westerly wave affecting the upper parts of the country.

However, light rain accompanied by gusty winds and light snowfall over the hills is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas during the morning. Light to moderate fog is likely to develop in northeastern Punjab during early hours.
