Punjab Weather Update: Dry and Smoggy Conditions Expected on November 3

Pakistan Weather

Islamabad, November 2, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather across most districts of Punjab on Monday, November 3, 2025, with smog and shallow fog likely to persist in several areas due to ongoing dry conditions and rising air pollution levels.

According to the PMD, Murree, Galiyat, and nearby regions are expected to experience dry but cold weather during the morning and night hours. Meanwhile, smog and fog are likely to continue affecting Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Okara, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan, impacting air quality and visibility.

The department has advised residents, especially in smog-prone districts, to take precautionary measures, including limiting outdoor exposure and using masks when necessary.

At the national level, a continental air mass continues to dominate most parts of the country, keeping conditions dry. However, a westerly wave is expected to approach northwestern regions starting Monday night, which may slightly alter the weather pattern later in the week.

In the past 24 hours, dry weather prevailed over most of Pakistan, while cold conditions were reported in the hilly areas. The lowest recorded temperatures were Leh at -3°C, Skardu at -1°C, and Ziarat at 0°C.

The PMD warned that the persistence of dry weather and pollution is likely to maintain smog intensity across central and southern Punjab in the coming days.
