Punjab Weather Update: Three Days of Cold Ahead

Pakistan Weather

Islamabad, February 12, 2025 – Punjab is expected to experience predominantly cold and dry weather over the next three days, as per the latest forecast from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The PMD has predicted that most districts in the Punjab will continue to witness chilly and dry conditions until Thursday, February 13, 2025. While daytime temperatures are anticipated to remain cool, nighttime temperatures are expected to drop significantly, intensifying the cold.

For Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the forecast suggests that Punjab will see a continuation of cold and dry weather. However, some areas, particularly Murree, Galiyat, and the surrounding regions, may experience partly cloudy skies, offering a brief respite from the otherwise clear and cold conditions.

Punjab’s Weather Outlook

Across Punjab, major cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Rawalpindi will remain under the grip of cold and dry weather. Fog and smog are likely to persist in the plains of central and southern Punjab during early morning and late-night hours, reducing visibility and affecting transportation.

National Weather Overview

On a broader scale, the PMD reports that Pakistan’s weather will largely remain dry and cold. Northern regions, including the mountainous areas, will experience extremely cold temperatures, especially during nighttime and early morning hours. The prevailing continental air system will maintain stable weather conditions across most of the country, with minimal chances of precipitation.
