Real Madrid and French Ligue 1 side Lyon have reached an agreement to send Brazilian striker Endrick on loan for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, both clubs confirmed on Tuesday.

The loan deal will see Lyon pay approximately one million euros (around 1.18 million U.S. dollars) to Real Madrid. Notably, the arrangement does not include an option for Lyon to make the transfer permanent at the end of the campaign.

Endrick, 19, joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 amid high expectations for his development. In his debut season, he made 22 appearances in La Liga, scoring one goal, mostly coming off the bench. However, he showcased his potential in the Copa del Rey, scoring five crucial goals to help Real Madrid reach the final.

This season, the young striker has struggled to secure regular playing time due to injury setbacks, making only three appearances across all competitions—one each in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League. With Lyon, Endrick is expected to gain valuable minutes on the pitch, allowing him to regain match fitness and form ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Both Real Madrid and Lyon emphasized that the loan move is intended to accelerate Endrick’s development while giving him consistent first-team opportunities. The Brazilian forward, widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents in world football, will look to impress in Ligue 1 and strengthen his prospects for a key role in Brazil’s World Cup squad next year.

This strategic loan highlights Real Madrid’s commitment to nurturing young talent while providing players like Endrick with the competitive exposure needed to thrive at the highest level.
