Realme appears to be preparing a major breakthrough in smartphone battery technology, as a new device with a massive 10,000mAh battery has surfaced online.
Last year, the brand officially confirmed its plans to introduce a smartphone with a five-digit battery capacity, and recent developments suggest that launch plans are now moving forward.
A Realme smartphone carrying the model number RMX5107 was recently spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, strongly indicating an imminent launch in India. Earlier leaks revealed that the same model features a 10,001mAh battery, making it the largest battery ever teased by Realme for a commercial smartphone.
According to a well-known tipster, this upcoming device is expected to be part of the Realme P series, a lineup that focuses on delivering strong performance and long-lasting battery life at competitive prices. The tipster further claims that the phone could officially launch later this month, although Realme has not yet confirmed an exact date.
Interestingly, Realme has so far not released any smartphone with an 8,000mAh or larger battery. The company recently launched the Realme P4x in India, which packs a sizeable 7,000mAh battery, currently one of the largest in its portfolio. Meanwhile, the upcoming Realme Neo8, scheduled to debut in China on January 22, is rumored to feature an 8,000mAh battery, marking another step toward ultra-high-capacity devices.
If the leaks are accurate, the Realme P series phone with a 10,000mAh battery could set a new benchmark for battery endurance in the mid-range smartphone segment. Such a large battery would appeal to power users, mobile gamers, and consumers who prioritize extended screen time without frequent charging.
At this stage, details regarding charging speed, processor, display specifications, and camera features remain undisclosed. However, given Realme’s recent strategy, the phone is expected to offer fast charging support to complement its massive battery.
With BIS certification now confirmed, more official information is likely to emerge in the coming days. If launched as expected, Realme’s 10,000mAh smartphone could become one of the most talked-about devices of the month, redefining expectations for smartphone battery life in 2026.
