Realme has kicked off 2026 with the launch of the Realme 16 Pro+, a flagship-grade upper-midrange smartphone that places strong emphasis on camera innovation, design aesthetics, and long-lasting battery performance.

The device debuts as one of the first Realme phones to introduce the brand’s new LumaColor Image processing technology, designed to deliver lifelike skin tones, enhanced color accuracy, and true-to-reality lighting across photos and videos.

The Realme 16 Pro+ is headlined by a powerful 200MP primary camera featuring Samsung’s HP5 sensor (1/1.56-inch type) with an f/1.8 aperture. The camera supports full-pixel auto zoom with lossless 1x and 2x zoom, enabling sharper clarity across framed shots. Thanks to LumaColor Image processing, users get access to 21 customized tone styles including five signature portrait modes — Lively, Vintage, Fresh, Neon, and Vivid — along with HyperRAW, InstantSnap, and Anti-Distortion algorithms for improved detail, stability, and reduced edge distortion.

Complementing the main sensor is a 50MP periscope telephoto camera equipped with Samsung’s JN5 sensor, offering 3.5x optical zoom and up to 120x Super Zoom for long-range photography. The triple-camera setup also includes an 8MP ultrawide lens, while video creators benefit from 4K HDR recording across 1x, 2x, 3.5x, and 7x focal lengths, plus dual-focal 4K 60fps at 1x and 3.5x. On the front, the device houses a 50MP selfie camera for high-resolution portraits and content creation.

The Realme 16 Pro+ adopts the brand’s new Urban Wild Design philosophy, developed in collaboration with renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. It features a bio-based organic silicone back made from plant-derived straw material, delivering a premium yet sustainable finish. The phone sports a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, paired with an in-display optical fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the Realme 16 Pro+ runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, alongside 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Powering the device is a massive 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, while durability is enhanced with an IP69 water and dust resistance rating. The phone ships with realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16, with Realme promising three major Android updates and four years of security patches.

The Realme 16 Pro+ is available in Master Gold, Master Grey, and an India-exclusive Camellia Pink, with pre-orders already open and shipments beginning January 8.
