The highly anticipated Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to launch sooner than initially planned, as new reports suggest the company has rescheduled its global debut to avoid clashing with the OnePlus 15 launch event.
According to recent leaks, Realme had originally scheduled the GT 8 Pro global launch between November 18 and November 20, shortly after its unveiling in China later this month. However, with OnePlus reportedly hosting the OnePlus 15 global launch on November 13, Realme is said to have advanced its own event to a window between November 10 and November 12, with November 11 emerging as the most likely date.
The strategic rescheduling highlights the growing rivalry between the two brands, both targeting the premium smartphone segment with Qualcomm’s latest chipset and advanced camera technology. Realme’s decision to move its launch forward underscores its intention to gain early market traction and media attention before its competitor.
The Realme GT 8 Pro will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, positioning it among the first smartphones in India and other key markets to feature the flagship processor. The device is expected to include up to 16GB of RAM, ensuring exceptional performance and multitasking capabilities.
Camera performance is also shaping up to be one of the GT 8 Pro’s main selling points. Rumors indicate a 50MP primary camera using Sony’s Lytia LYT-700 sensor, paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto lens powered by Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5 sensor. The phone is also tipped to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with QHD+ resolution and a massive 8,000 mAh battery, promising all-day endurance and flagship-grade visuals.
If these reports hold true, the Realme GT 8 Pro will not only compete directly with the OnePlus 15 but could also emerge as one of the most powerful smartphones of 2025. The official announcement is expected in China later this month, followed by the global launch in mid-November.
