Realme has officially unveiled the GT8 Pro, its latest flagship smartphone featuring a revolutionary interchangeable camera housing — a first for the brand.
Unlike traditional round or square camera modules, the GT8 Pro allows users to completely change the look of their phone in just a few steps, offering an unmatched level of personalization.
The new camera deco system uses two Torx screws and magnets to easily snap modules into place. Realme will offer a variety of customizable designs, including square, round, and robot-themed camera islands, available through its official stores. Taking customization a step further, Realme has also released a 3D printing file (.3mf) so users can create their own unique designs. A design competition with MakerWorld encourages fans to showcase their creativity.
Beyond its innovative design, the GT8 Pro impresses with powerful imaging hardware. It features a Ricoh-tuned 50MP main camera (1/1.56-inch sensor, f/1.8 aperture), marking the beginning of Realme’s collaboration with the legendary camera brand Ricoh. The camera supports Ricoh GR’s iconic tones — Positive, Negative, High-contrast B&W, Standard, and Monochrome — and offers focal lengths equivalent to 28mm and 40mm.
The setup is complemented by a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical and up to 12x lossless zoom, along with OIS stabilization, plus a 50MP ultrawide lens offering a 116° field of view. The GT8 Pro supports 8K video recording at 30fps, delivering professional-grade imaging performance.
Under the hood, the phone runs on the Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 Extreme Edition with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. It features a QHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 4,000 nits brightness. Powering the device is a massive 7,000mAh dual-cell battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Launching in White, Green, and Blue, the Realme GT8 Pro starts at CNY 3,999 ($562) for the 12GB+256GB model, with pre-orders now open in China.
